The Brahmapur International Film Festival is now entering its 2nd edition, successfully organised by the Mumbai Indiefilm Society—an initiative that has created a strong wave among independent filmmakers and contributed to changing the landscape of India’s indie film community. The festival was created with a vision to promote independent filmmakers, provide a meaningful platform to showcase their masterpieces, connect creators with audiences, and open pathways to global markets through networking and distribution opportunities. Over its journey, the festival has been honoured by the presence of distinguished guests and filmmakers, including Kamal Swaroop, Deepak Dobriyal, Anup Soni and Manurishi Chadha, among many others.
The Mumbai Indiefilm Society is a well-known independent filmmaking community that has received encouragement and appreciation from several veteran filmmakers and artists, including Naseeruddin Shah, Sriram Raghavan, Hansal Mehta, Anurag Kashyap, Manoj Bajpayee, Anurag Basu, and many more.
