A Growing Community of Cinema
Over the years, many celebrated artists and industry professionals have joined and supported Mumbai Indiefilm Society, an eight-year-old independent film community dedicated to supporting filmmakers, writers, and emerging creative voices.
As part of the society’s initiatives, Brahmapur International Film Festival was created as a platform to bring independent cinema, filmmakers, and audiences together.
In its first year, the festival’s annual programme was honoured by the presence and participation of distinguished guests such as Anup Soni and Manurishi Chadha, whose association added to the festival’s growing identity and spirit of cinematic exchange.
The journey continues with filmmakers, actors, writers, artists, mentors, and cinema enthusiasts coming together to celebrate stories that deserve to be seen.
From an eight-year-old independent film society to an evolving international film festival — the journey is built on community, cinema, and the people who believe in independent voices.
