Brahmapur International Film Festival
Brahmapur International Film Festival is a Local-to-Global initiative dedicated to independent cinema, emerging filmmakers, and original storytelling. Organised by Mumbai Indiefilm Society, the festival creates a space where independent voices can find an audience, connect with fellow filmmakers, and become part of a wider cinematic community. The festival celebrates films that come from different regions, cultures, experiences, and creative perspectives—bringing together filmmakers, writers, artists, film lovers, and industry professionals for screenings, conversations, networking, learning, and creative exchange.
The 2nd Edition of Brahmapur International Film Festival was held on 20–21 June 2026 in Mumbai, featuring an acclaimed jury including filmmaker Kamal Swaroop and filmmaker Sudipto Sen, along with distinguished guests from the Indian film industry. (Mumbai Indie Film Society)
More than simply a screening platform, Brahmapur International Film Festival aims to build a meaningful ecosystem for independent cinema—particularly supporting new filmmakers, unconventional stories, and voices emerging from smaller towns and grassroots communities.
The festival believes that cinema does not need a massive budget to have a powerful voice. What matters is the story, the filmmaker, the craft, and the courage to tell something original.
From local stories to global audiences — Brahmapur International Film Festival celebrates cinema without boundaries.
